Cherries

quilts 403

These cherries were machine appliqued on and the quilt was quilted by hand. Love that machine buttonhole stitch.

Replica Feedsack Fabrics

Sweet little quilt.

Cotton and wool applique wallhanging

The scallops, vine and flowers are wool and buttonhole stitched on.  Love this quilt and I had a friend machine quilt this.

Hearts Doll Quilt

While a little granddaughter was visiting, we decided to make a doll quilt.  I drew up hearts and put “wonder under” under the hearts, ironed them on and then machine buttonhole stitched with embroidery thread around the hearts.

Friends 1

This little Friends quilt was a good way to use up some of my “scrap” fabrics.

My Mom Taught Me How To Sew

A few years ago this quilt was designed by my daughter for me for Mother’s day.  What a treasure and fun surprise.

Shan & Mom

This was my daughter’s first attempt at hand applique without having had any lessons.  Love the flowers she designed for my quilt garden.

Shan & Mom 3

Her embroidered phrase is:  “My mom loves me, know how I know?  Because she taught me how to sew!”  It was a great compliment for something I have always loved to do – sew.

Alex’s Quilt

This little quilt is simple and made from charm packs.  I quilted it on the machine with a double circle pattern.
